Papa Foote

my classroom

I am “Papa” Foote and I like to hang out in cool spots. With my head tucked into an air pocket behind the rushing water of a waterfall, my mind flows upstream, tracing the water cycle in reverse. My back presses into the ancient rocks below as gravity forces water on and around me, following the path of least resistance back down, down, down to the ocean. I emerge with a strong appreciation for my surroundings, an experience to link me to my knowledge and a better connection to the world. This is my “classroom.”

During our family’s “world-schooling” journey, we will find many “air pockets” in the places and cultures that we visit. Our minds will flow upstream, our bodies will embrace the experiences and we will learn more deeply for it.

with gratitude..
